Informational Meetings Set For Incoming Freshmen

Head coach Dan Woog will meet with all 8th graders interested in trying out for the Staples soccer program, during lunch periods at the middle schools.

Meetings are set for for Bedford (Tuesday, May 26) and Coleytown (Wednesday, May 27).

Information on tryouts and summer opportunities will be handed out, along with physical and parent permission forms.

For further information — or if you are not currently enrolled in a Westport middle school — contact Dan Woog (dwoog@optonline.net; 203-341-1332).

Last fall's undefeated freshman team allowed only 1 goal -- and it came in the final minute of the final game. Can next year's squad beat that superb mark?

The next generation awaits! I have followed some of these boys’ soccer careers on their journey through middle school and I expect great things. Dan has a crop that will exceed many of his expectations. The journey of life and soccer hits a major benchmark for these boys. I hope to see there success grow as they sprout into mature young men.

    Truly Inspired,

  2. Believe me, I — and our coaching staff — have VERY high expectations for our middle schoolers, in all grades. We are confident they will uphold the great legacy they are soon to join.
