Sean Gallagher Helps Relay Team To New England Title

Sean Gallagher and 3 teammates tore to a 3:19.43 time in the 4×400 relay yesterday in New Britain.  That earned them the New England title — and a school record.

It was not far shy of the New England mark (3:18.26), set in 1994 by Prince Tech-Hartford.

Gallagher’s split of 51.3 represented a personal best.

The relay team has had a very successful spring.  Earlier, they won both the state open (3:21.66) and state LL (3:23.2) crowns.

Gallagher, Jack Roche and Raphael Ray are juniors; Jon Heil is a sophomore.  Look out for next year!
